High Spirits Red Tail Hawk G Flute - Walnut

The High Spirits Red Tail Hawk in the key of "G" minor has a soothing, melodic voice. Because it is deeper in tone than the Sparrow Hawk "A", first time players are attracted to this key. Crafted from domestic walnut, a hardwood, the flute is sealed with non-toxic oils which give it a clear, bright voice - especially on the high notes. In contrast to the "A" key Sparrow Hawk flute, the Red Tail Hawk in the key of "G" has a richer sonic palette, and is often popular with first-time players.

The Red Tail Hawk flute is a good accompaniment flute for the Contra Bass "G" flute and the Pocket Flute in the key of "G". Being a very versatile key, it plays well with other instruments and works well with many different styles of music expression - Native style, romantic, blues, jazz, etc.

Precisely tuned to "G" minor, the flute also offers the option of delving into the relative major diatonic scale within the "A?"/"B?" key. Its overall length measures approximately 21.25 inches (roughly 54 cm). This particular instrument is ideally suited for individuals with medium to large hand sizes.

The Red Tail Hawk flute complements the Pocket Flute in the "G" key, serving as an adept collaborative partner.

With a configuration of six holes, the flute comes complete with a leather hole cover. This cover, intended for the third hole from the top, is thoughtfully included for simplified initial learning. Easily untied and removed, it affords players the flexibility to experience the instrument as a five or six hole flute at their discretion.

Size: 21.25 inches (roughly 54 cm)
